Roof replacement in Lakewood, WA

When patching no longer makes sense, we take the old roof off down to the wood, fix any soft or rotten decking, and build a new roof from the deck up: underlayment, metal at the edges and valleys, flashing at every wall and chimney, new vents and architectural shingles.

Signs you need it

  • Shingles curling, cracking or losing their granules
  • Leaks in more than one spot
  • Soft spots when you walk the roof
  • The roof is 20 years old or more
  • Moss that keeps coming back and lifting shingles

What we do

  • Tear-off down to the decking and debris hauled away
  • Replace soft or rotten wood (we show you photos first)
  • Solid plywood over old gapped boards when needed
  • Synthetic underlayment and self-adhered membrane where water collects
  • New drip edge, valley metal, step flashing and pipe boots
  • Architectural shingles, ridge cap and attic vents
  • Daily cleanup and a full cleanup at the end

In the Northwest

In the Puget Sound area the roof's biggest enemies are months of rain, moss and wind storms. That is why we take the edges, valleys and flashing as seriously as the shingles.

While we get there

  1. Move furniture and valuables away from the drip.
  2. Put a bucket and towels under it. If the ceiling bulges, poke a small hole to drain it into the bucket.
  3. Turn off power to lights near the water.
  4. Don’t climb the roof in rain or wind. We’ll tarp it.
  5. Take photos for your insurance.
